(This is a fax that I sent to my Dad and brother (they were working together at the time) from the mission office)

Hi Dad & Erik,

Howzit? I bet you're excited to hear from me! :) I have a big favor to ask you or have you ask mom. My retainers had a little accident. They got a bit smashed. I had them in my backpack during a dinner appointment and they got smushed under my books. Anyhow, they are alright, just the top one has part of it broken off. It is still wearable and it will still do the job, but it just kind of doesn't stay in my mouth too well all the time. So, anyhow, I'd like mom or someone to call Dr. Fullmer's office and find out
1. if they can make a new one for me there or if I need to find someone here.
2. if I do need to go somewhere here, do I need to tell them anything specific
3. If they can do it there how much will it cost. I kind of remember them saying something about them replacing them if I have any problems. If they don't charge for replacements and they can send them to me, I'd like top and bottom because the bottom one got a bit bent out of shape and I just guessed and bent it back. I don't' know if I did it right or not. I just don't want to cause any problems with my teeth! :)

Well, that's all that I needed. If you could do that for me it would be greatly appreciated!

How are things there? Is it nice weather? How's the water skiing? I'm jealous, I've heard you've (Erik) gone to Lake Powell. Sometimes I think it's torture to be living right on the ocean front and being a missionary! :)

I haven't heard from home in 3 weeks and then yesterday I got a letter from mom saying that I can't open it until Easter! TORTURE!!! I'm being honorable though and I'm not opening it but it's really hard!
