On the Plane to South Africa

Mom, Dad & Family-

Well, I'm on the plane to South Africa. The flight from SLC to NY was basically uneventful. It hasn't been as scary as I thought. I got pretty lost at Kennedy Airport. Luckily, I ran into a missionary couple and they helped me out. They are going to Johannesburg (Brother and Sister Homer) they are so cool! They made the layover in NY go by quickly. So now here I am on my way to South Africa. I am so excited. Everyone seated around me is from there. I love the accents! I already made a stupid blunder. I asked the woman next to me if she knew where the bathroom was. She looked at me confused and then said that they don't have them on this flight- because I had actually asked her where the shower was. I felt kinda silly.

I've had a couple cool opportunities to talk to people about the church. I haven't given away that Book of Mormon yet.

I slept a little bit on the flight to NY. I am so tired right now. I know I'll sleep after dinner.

Our stewardess looks like a 25 year old Aunt Bev. She walks like her too. It's kinda funny.

I am so excited to get to South Africa. I've had enough of this flying stuff! My bum and back hurt! But I guess the time will come soon enough!

Well, I'll probably write more when I get there.

Love,

Michelle
