Toti (01/13/97)

Dear Family-

I promise it seems like I wrote to you yesterday!  Time is passing quickly!

Things are going well here.  It's as hot as ever!  Though the past couple of days it has been raining, so it's been cool out.

This week we have a mini missionary with us.  It's Sane' Kunene. She is one of the girls that I was baptized Nov 24th.  She is so cool!  She has only been a member for a short time (1 1/2 months) and already she is power.  She will be with us for a week.  I think that it will be really fun to have her.

This week Sis. Chieko Okazaki is coming to visit here. I think it will be really nice.  She's an excellent speaker.

On Saturday we visited a member family who's mother is a reflexologist.  She did our feet while we were there.  I was so intrigued by reflexology.  I am seriously considering studying it when I come home.  Not right away though, I'd do my signing first and then if I have time, money, desire, I'd like to study reflexology. We'll see.

So, how are things in Reno?  I've heard that there has been a lot of flooding in Nevada, is that true? How's the shop going?  Hey, did you hear about that volcano under the ice berg? I don't know much about it, but it goes right along with the signs of the times.  It's interesting.

Hello,

My name is Sane' Kunene.  It's so wonderful to have Sister Zenger taughting me the word of God.  So I have dicided to join her and be a missinery like she is.

I just want to say hello to you thore I don't know you but I have seen you in her photos.

I hope to see you some day.  I wish God may help me in that.

Take care of yourself.
Bye
Sister Kunene

She's awesome, hey?  I tell you, it's been such a blessing to see her accept the Gospel and see her life change.  Just a few months ago she was homeless and probably didn't have much happiness, now she has a family, who also have and are joining the church (they are working on adopting her) and she is now a missionary (mini).  It's people like her that make my mission worth it 100 times over.

Mom, could you do me a favor. If you come across a nice, but casual-comfortable dress at the outlet, could you use the money that I have saved there at home and send it to me?  My cloths are thrashed and dresses are so expensive here.  I can't afford to buy a decent one.  Anyhow, if you get a chance, that will be nice to have a decent dress to wear to the temple and on the flight home.

Well, I hope all is going good there.   I love you all very much and I miss you tons!  Take care!

Love,
Michelle :)
