Dear Family-

Merry Christmas! Do you like the card? I thought that it was pretty cool! Well, I can't believe that it is Christmas time, it doesn't seem real, I suppose it has a lot to do with the weather as well as being away from the family. But I know that this Christmas will be more meaningful to me than any other as I know that I have a better understanding and feeling for the true meaning of Christmas as I now feel that I have a more personal and meaningful relationship with He whom we are celebrating His birth. I am grateful for that relationship.
I hope that Christmas and New Year's will be great for all of you. Know that my thoughts will be with you!
My Branch President here said to tell you that you can keep your white Christmas because we will be having one of our own (baptisms). I think that is the best Christmas gift I can recieve.
I bought gifts for all of you, but because of the price of sending things, I'll just bring them when I come home.
